The Instinct Mode is the mode that vampires can slip into where they focus on nothing but their basic instincts. They become fully indulged in living as a vampire, completely abandoning their human qualities. A vampire in Instinct Mode experiences no burdening emotions, such as love, affection, empathy, care, or guilt. They exist solely for feeding, sex, and fun. Some more self involved vampires prefer to exist entirely in their Instinct Mode. Others who have lost loved ones, or killed innocent people, might go into Instinct Mode so that they do not have to feel grief or remorse.
